THE BRITISH COLUMBIA SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS
Our mission: To protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C.

Q - Can I adopt a horse from the BC SPCA?

Yes, from time to time, the BC SPCA cares for horses that are available for adoption or are in need of a temporary foster home.

If you have access to the proper facilities and are skilled in horse care, visit spca.bc.ca/adoptme to view a list of horses currently available for adoption.

Please note, the animals that the BC SPCA attempts to re-home are frequently the subject of cruelty investigations and or seizures and as such may require extensive rehabilitation. It is for this reason that the Society cannot guarantee the health or temperament of any animal.

If you are ready to adopt a horse in need of new home, download and complete the BC SPCA large animal adoption application form and submit to the related BC SPCA branch.
