WHAT'S HAPPENING

The Society operates with the assistance of 4,000 volunteers who work at the shelter level and in a variety of fundraising, advocacy and education roles. These critical individuals assist our branches through activities such as dog walking, cat care, pet grooming, mobile adoptions, administrative support, special events, fundraising, education, volunteer coordination, fostering, advocacy, and so much more.

They may be called volunteers but to our staff and animals, they are heroes. In every capacity they serve, volunteers are a highly valued resource to our society and are making a very real difference to the lives of so many animals.

Volunteering with the Animals

Get involved directly with the animals through our dog walking, cat and small animal care or our foster guardian programs.

Volunteering for the Animals

Help us help the animals by assisting our teams in our Provincial Office, at events and school presentations.

Become a Volunteer

Complete our online application form, download an application form or review our mandatory Volunteer Orientation documents.
