Robert Busch

General Manager, Facility Development

Bob Busch took the position of GM Facility Development after over 30 years in the animal welfare field.

His career with the BC SPCA started as manager of the 100 Mile House Branch in 1998, followed by successive managerial positions in the Shuswap, Sunshine Coast, and Kelowna  branches before being promoted to Regional Manager, Interior in 2002. He was appointed GM Operations in 2004 and GM Facility Development in 2013.


Prior to the BC SPCA, Bob was President of the Calgary Humane Society, a position he held after a successful career in the Calgary oil business. He attended the University of Calgary, where he received the APEGGA Gold Medal in Geology.

Bob is the author of eight books and over 100 magazine articles on animals and natural history. He shares his home in Langley with one dog and one cat.
