A certified human resources professional, Yvonne Groothedde, graduated with honours with a post-diploma in human resources management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Simon Fraser University. Her scholastic achievements earned her an induction into the Golden Key International Honour Society in 2002. Prior to assuming her current role with the BC SPCA in early 2011, Yvonne worked within the gaming industry for 10 years and was an active volunteer at her local animal shelter. She is also the lucky guardian of her two adopted boxers “Houlio” and “Homer”.
