The Alberni-Clayoquot branch of the BC SPCA is calling on all animal lovers and supporters to help provide medical care, shelter and protection to animals in need. Each year, our branch helps hundreds of injured, abused and homeless animals.
"One of the animals in desperate need is Patches," says branch manager Irene Towell." This 8-month-old dobberman mix was the subject of a cruelty complaint and was surrendered because of a visit from a member of the BC SPCA's cruelty investigation team and in a great deal of pain, due to a badly broken hind leg." Patches is receiving medical care at a local veterinary hospital, but will need orthopedic surgery to repair her leg.

"The type of surgery that Patches alone requires could cost up to $2,800 or more," says Towell. "As a not-for-profit funded primarly by public donations, we need the support of the community to help rescue and rehabilitate innocent animals like Patches."
To help the Alberni-Clayoquot branch continue to care for animals like Patches and give them a second chance at life, please donate today. Your gift could save a life. Thank you!
Update July 14: Patches has received her surgery and is doing well. Thank you to our generous donors whose gifts allowed us to help Patches, and animals like her.
