Ava, a four month-old black and white Pit Bull mix, ended up in the care of the BC SPCA Alberni-Clayoquot Branch on December 16 2011, because her owner could not afford her medical care. Ava had to be treated for demodectic mange but she now has a clean
bill of health and is ready to find her new fur-ever home.
Since in the care of the Alberni Branch, Ava has become very social, she really loves people and affection, especially cuddles. She is a favorite amongst the staff.
Ava would do great in an active family who has had experience with dogs in the past. She is learning to walk on leash and would benefit from obedience training. Ava loves to play with other dogs and is very rambunctious with her playmates. It would be important for her new family to introduce her to new dogs slowly as she can be dominant with new dogs.
If Ava sounds like the companion you have been searching for, please contact the BC SPCA Alberni-Clayoquot Branch.
