Silent auction items needed for the Alberni-Clayoquot BC SPCA!

 April 19, 2010

The Alberni-Clayoquot Branch of the BC SPCA is gearing up for our annual Silent Auction and Dinner fundraiser on April 25, 2010!

Last year the auction raised over eight thousand dollars for our local branch. This is a huge fundraiser for our shelter and we are hoping to beat last year's numbers and raise over ten thousand dollars!

At the present we are in the process of collecting donated items for the auction as well as selling tickets for those interested in attending.

Each year the Alberni-Clayoquot Branch of the BC SPCA helps hundreds of injured, abused and homeless animals. This year, one of the special animals that we helped is Dolly. Poor Dolly (pictured left) came to us pregnant and with a broken leg. After some special loving care her puppies are ready to be adopted and this beautiful girl is about to have her leg amputated so that we can ensure that her life is pain-free. We need the continued support of our donors to be able to help animals like Dolly, and give them the second chance that they deserve.

Please help us continue to rescue and rehome animals in our community!

If you would like to donate an item to the silent auction, or attend the event, please send us an email or contact Irene at: 250-723-5269 or Marg at: 250-723-0639

To learn more about this event please visit our events page.

If you can't attend the event, but would like to help the animals in your community, please donate today.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization funded primarily by public donations. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and to promote the welfare of animals through a wide range of services, including cruelty investigations, emergency rescue and treatment, sheltering and adoption of homeless and abused animals, humane education, advocacy, farm animal welfare, spay/neuter programs, and wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
