Colleen was picked up as a stray wandering around before being picked up and brought to the BC SPCA Burnaby Branch. Sadly she had no identification making it difficult to find her family. When no one came searching for her after quite some time passing she was made available for adoption.
Before going home with her adoptive family, Colleen was spayed and tattooed so that she would always be able to be reunited with her family should she ever be lost again. Within days of this happening she found her forever home.
Colleen’s name has been changed to Callie, but she still the amazing cat she was while in our care. Her new family has taken a moment to let us know how she has settled in.
Hi there, I just wanted to write in and say thank you. Thank you for making this adoption process so easy and comfortable. The communication was fantastic and we really appreciated getting calls from you every step of the way.
I hope it's not a thankless job, as you are the providers of happiness to hundreds of people/families per year. Be proud of yourselves. I look up to each one of you for doing what you do. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what you do, every single day, for the welfare of each and every animal that walks through your doors.
Roberta and I are so happy with Colleen (now "Callie"). She is a dream cat. In fact, she is purring sitting right beside me as I write this to you. I've attached a few photos of Callie, so you can see that she is as happy with the match as we are.
She's taken well to our place. She's been eating, drinking and using the litter box without issue. She is amazingly well adjusted for being with us for only half a day. I'm amazed at how well she's doing. You'd think she's been living here her whole life!
Again, thank you so much for bringing us such joy. We are so happy!
Kindly, Adam & Roberta
Callie wasn’t in our care for long, but for the short period that she was you could see a lot of potential in her. She was bound to make someone very happy and boy has she ever, times two! Thank you so much to Adam and Roberta for choosing to make adoption your first option.
