We rely heavily on the support of our volunteers. Without them, we would not be able to take care of the thousands of animals that need our help each year.

You can volunteer with the animals, working hands with our furry friends. Or you can volunteer for the animals, as a community council member or event assistant. Visit our main volunteer section page for more information.

Community Council Committees
To assist the society in achieving its goals it is critical that Community Councils throughout the province are actively involved. While the BC SPCA's Board of Directors has overall responsibility for the governance and decision-making of the society, the Community Council's input to local, regional and society plans and programs is vital to our ongoing success. To learn more about community councils, visit our main governance section.
