Boots was a handsome young adult cat when he was brought to the BC SPCA Comox Valley & District Branch in April 2012. His owner had moved recently and had left Boots behind with instructions to his landlord to surrender him.
He had not yet been neutered or tattooed so he made a quick trip to a local veterinarian to have these routine procedures done. Once healed, Boots was made available for adoption.
Boots had such a sweet nature; he could be very calm and relaxed when you wanted him to be, but when it was time to play he sure loved his mouse. He was always ready to greet you with a purr and seemed to enjoy the company of his fellow cats also waiting for their forever homes.
A couple months later and Boots had met his perfect match. He now resides in a home where he is cherished and gets to enjoy the company of another furry friend. Boots took a moment out of his incredibly busy day to let us know his likes and dislikes these days.
Hi dear friends.
Sorry, I'd meant to write earlier but honestly I've been having way too much fun with my new forever family. They are so entertaining.
You know how you told them that I could occasionally get interested in playing with a mouse? Good job! They never expected me to run around chasing the little toy mouse they got me..... under the couch, down the hall, too much fun! Especially right at bedtime!
I've taught the dog ("Goots" - is it any wonder they changed my name?) to respect me and my space. I occasionally creep up close and have a nap beside him. Just to keep him on his toes; he's learning and hasn't chased me once. Good dog!
I popped into the vet's and got a check over - apparently I'm on the "upper" level of my weight range. Hrmph! But, I'm healthy and we all knew that!
The previous feline they had had been doing a sculpture on the corner of their loveseat; however, he left it unfinished. I've tried to work on it at night when they are sleeping but they seem to get a little annoyed. I suppose they want to preserve it in it's incomplete state. They've resorted to putting double-sided sticky tape on it! And you know how much I HATE that! I've taken to working on a lovely carpet "scratch post" they've got for me. The loveseat was better but I've adjusted.
Well, I must dash, it's nearly bedtime and I have a furry little toy mouse to chase! Thank you for the loving care you provided me during my stay with you. I'm loving living with Robin and Sheila and they love me a kazillion tons!
Furrily yours,
Sir Rugglesby (aka Boots)
We couldn’t be happier knowing that Sir Rugglesby has given his stamp of approval to his new home, it sounds like he’s planning on sticking around. Thank you to Robin, Sheila, and Goots for taking a chance on this sweet boy and for choosing adoption as your first option.
