THE BRITISH COLUMBIA SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS
Our mission: To protect and enhance the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in B.C.
The BC SPCA is offering week-long summer camps which offer fun animal-themed activities for kids while empowering them to create a better world. Camps will be offered this year in Courtenay at the Lewis Centre, 489 Old Island Hwy.
The annual book sale fundraiser is now on at the BC SPCA Comox Valley Branch. Lots of great paperbacks, classics, romance and mystery books to choose from.
Feeding wildlife may seem like an enjoyable way to connect with nature, but often it leads to serious problems for species like squirrels, raccoons, deer, and bears, doing more harm than good. Even bird feeding is controversial and the pros and cons of the activity need to be considered along with the responsibilities that come with it.
The BC SPCA invites you to an animal-themed day of fun this May. Open House events take place at the South Okanagan and Campbell River branches this Sunday, May 12, as well as at the Alberni-Clayoquot branch on May 26 and the North Peace branch on June 9.
The BC SPCA is inviting animal lovers to start registering today for the annual Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause walk, being hosted in 35 communities across the province on Sept 9.
