Sweet little Meredith came into the care of the BC SPCA Cowichan Branch in early January 2015. She was a stray cat and nothing was known of her background, however she quickly won the heart of her new adoptive guardian. Meredith, now known as Bramble, went to her forever home soon after and her guardian has shared this update:
After the passing over the rainbow bridge of my previous cat, Florin (1996-2014), also adopted from the BC SPCA Cowichan Branch, I was extremely fragile and was hesitant to adopt another feline friend. However, the house seemed empty without a cat and after I had seen Bramble on Facebook, I decided that this was possibly the cat for me.
Bramble is the most wonderful, funny, happy, energetic and can I say - nosey - cat I have ever had. She makes me laugh from morning to night, follows me around when I am in the garden, greets me when I come home, wants to play nearly all day and is truly fantastic.
We've just been playing hide-and-seek in the house (purring, purring, purring) and the sound of her running up or down the hallway could be compared to a herd of elephants!
Her downtime is in the evening and at night, when I don't hear a peep from her. She comes when called, sits outside my bedroom door when I'm busy in there and sits for treats. I think we have bonded.
Thank you, BC SPCA Cowichan Branch, you have given me a wonderful little friend.
And we thank you in return, you have given Bramble the most wonderful gift of a loving forever home. We are grateful to you for making adoption your first option.
