Sushi was a gorgeous little puppy that was born into the BC SPCA Williams Lake & District’s care along with her seven other siblings in February 2007. Her mum had them while in foster care and that’s where they stayed until old enough to be weaned away without any problems. It turned out Sushi, and several other siblings, were fantastic candidates for early age spay or neuter, so they were brought into a local veterinarian to have the surgery and be microchipped. Once Sushi had recovered from her surgery she was brought down to the BC SPCA Kamloops Branch, along with six other siblings, through the Drive for Lives program to help maximize her chances for adoption. Less than a week later Sushi had found her new forever family and her new niche in life, they have sent us an update for us to share with the world.
Merry Christmas from Sushi (name has not changed) adopted on April 26, 2007, she was about 3 months old on Save A Pet .com – Animal ID# 77630 Sushi wants to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and let you know how shes doing and thank you for giving her a forever home. Sushi is now 120lbs of love, loves loves children and sleeping on Moms bed lol and being goofy is a talent of Sushi's. Sushi has a brother a 61/2 lb black pom which she loves and knows never touch his bones as he tells her no as she listens. Sushi was differently a diamond in the rough, easy to train -knows hand signals also, potty trained in 3 days. Sushi is fun loving, sweet, goofy and also very protective of her Mom (but knows when to behave). Merry Christmas and Thank you for my forever home.

We love hearing how well our past adoptees are doing in their homes, especially years after they have been adopted. Thank you so much for not only taking the time to send us the wonderful message and pictures, but also for making adoption your first adoption, from all of us at the BC SPCA and Sushi too!
