Eddie's Happy Ending story is a staff favourite.
This beautiful boy faced a greater challenge than most when waiting for his new forever home.
He was dropped of at the Kelowna Branch on August 17, 2010 by animal control.
At first, Eddie's strange behaviour was a concern until a veterinarian determined that he was 80% blind. The staff and volunteers worked with Eddie to help him become more comfortable and confident. A massage therapist also visited Eddie to reinforce human contact as a positive experience.
Not only was Eddie featured as a Pet on the Net, but he also captured the hearts of BC SPCA Guardian Angels.
Thanks to this amazing network of support, Eddie found his "forever home" on December 4, 2010.
His new family fell in love with him right from the beginning. He even has new sister Bella, to play with. Everyone finds him very handsome, and his sight issues haven’t affected him whether indoors or outside.

The entire family enjoys playing in the snow. Eddie has a great time bouncing around, leading to most people wondering whether he really is all that blind or not.
Eddie loves giving kisses to his new family, and they love receiving them. They are very grateful to have added Eddie to their family and Eddie seems very happy to have a new home.
Hooray for a fantastic story for a fantastic dog!
