Tommy, less than a year old, was surrendered in December 2016 to the BC SPCA Kelowna Branch because his previous guardian's landlord didn't allow pets. Luckily, it only took a few days for his new guardian to come in and fall head over heels for him.
Still a puppy, Tommy is playful, energetic, and loves to run around, especially in the snow. He’s friendly with other dogs and children, but needs time to get acquainted with them first. It has been two months since his adoption and his new family has sent us this update:
Little Tommy came to us from the SPCA in Kelowna, and from the moment I saw him I fell in love.
The best thing in the world is to come home and see him run to me and give me a great big hug, even if I am only gone for 20 minutes. Tommy has brought so much joy to our lives. He is my therapy, when I am sad or sick he basically makes it go away, he comes to me and sits with me, wags his tail and gives me a paw.
This was the best Christmas of our lives because we got to share it with him and make his first Christmas a special one. He received many gifts from our family members from chewies to squeaky toys! No matter what, I will remember this Christmas as the one that completed my family. We are working with him to show him no matter what, we love him and this is his forever home.
He is so loved, everyone who meets him says, "Wow, what a beautiful dog, how intelligent, how sweet." Tommy is just a bundle of joy and energy. Walking him in the snow is also the best because he loves the snow, from leaping or rolling around to catching snowballs. He loves going on adventures and finding large sticks. We can't wait to experience more adventures with Tommy.
It is great to hear how much Tommy is enjoying his new forever home and how much of a difference you're making to each others' lives. We love seeing families happy and complete. Thank you so much for showing Tommy such love and care, and making adoption your first choice.
