Aslan, which means "Lion", is a fitting name for this handsome young man, due to his "lion-like" mane. He arrived at the BC SPCA Kelowna Branch January 6, 2012 as a stray, so like most, his background is a mystery. He was briefly fostered by a staff member for a short period, to help him come out of his shell”, afterwards we learned more about him.

Although timid at times, he can also be very loving, he may curl up on your chest and hide his head in the crook of your arm, or sometimes he prefers to just relax on the floor, or on a perch. Once comfortable he can be very affectionate, he will meow and purr while rubbing against your leg, and at times, he likes to give gentle head-butts out of love.
Aslan would need a quiet home with little commotion to get comfortable in. He would bond very well with someone who is calm and can provide a stable, patient environment where he can be "king of the jungle". If you would like to meet him and see his beautiful mane, and big loving eyes, please visit the Kelowna SPCA and ask for an introduction.
