Matilda came to the BC SPCA Williams Lake Branch as a stray in November 2011. She seemed to be in pretty good health and was quite young still so staff held out hope that she had simply escaped and people would come looking for her. No one came to claim her and without any identification we were unable to locate her previous home.
To improve her chances of adoption, Matilda took a ride on the Drive for Lives program to the BC SPCA Maple Ridge Branch.
Matilda quickly made friends with staff, volunteers, and other dogs at the Maple Ridge shelter; she could be quite the charmer. She was an extremely intelligent dog who had plenty of energy that she needed to expend throughout the day.
Matilda has been renamed Milly and is now living the life of a fun-loving, family-oriented dog.
Hi Lorelei,
It’s Maddy with an update on Milly for you guys. She is doing extremely well if her energy is anything to go by. We go for at least two long walks a day (sometimes she needs a third!) and her coat is looking so good! Much healthier and puffy.
I can still count on one hand the times I've heard her bark too, which is nice. All in all she's doing great! Already thinks she owns the place.! Or my boots at least... Anyways, here are some photos for you from our walks.
-Maddy
What a wonderful new beginning for Milly, she was such a sweetheart and was just waiting for that second chance. Thank you so much to Maddy for choosing adoption as your first option and we think the name Milly suits her really well.
