Murphy is a Bichon Frise Yorkshire Terrier cross who was surrendered to the BC SPCA Maple Ridge Branch on June 4, 2012 when his previous owners moved. With his adorable face - and sweet disposition - it didn't take long for this little fellow to charm his way into a new and loving home.
We recently received this update, and some photos, of Murphy.
"We brought Murphy home on June 13, 2012. We had to put our little Petite (toy poodle cross) asleep at the age of 15 which was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I had taken all of her food to the Maple Ridge Branch and was not looking for a dog - yet!
But there was Murphy saying, "Pick me, Pick me!" and I couldn't say no.
He is a little bug...only 8 months old....and we call him the "Murphanator." But he is such a great little dog! Thank goodness for the BC SPCA and the work they do!"

Thanks for sharing your story with us. While it is always hard to say good-bye to a beloved pet, we are very happy to hear that little Murphy has brought new happiness into your home.
