Apollo was found wandering around Nanaimo as a stray in April 2010; it turned out his owners had moved and he longer had a place to stay. When Apollo went up for adoption at the BC SPCA Nanaimo & District Branch everyone thought he would be adopted quite quickly due to his love for cuddling.
For some reason it took almost six months for Apollo to find the home he had been searching for, although sadly it didn’t last as long as everyone would have liked. Everyone in the home adored Apollo, but an unknown allergy became apparent only once he was in the home.
Apollo kept his upbeat, loving attitude though and continued his arduous search for just the right place. Within days of being made available for adoption, he found exactly what he was dreaming of. His new family has written us a quick update on how he’s been doing post-adoption.
Hello,
I thought you might like to see some photos of my new friend "Tux", short for Tuxedo, as he is now. I got him from the Nanaimo SPCA on 12th October, 2011. His name then was Apollo. He is very well behaved, still overweight even though he has been on weight control food and has settled down very quickly.
We love him. Thank you. Sincerely, Dorothy
We are so happy to know that Tux has settled in and is on his best behavior. Thank you to Dorothy for making adoption her first option, it is greatly appreciated.
