Emaciated and abandoned horses rescued in Cedar

The BC SPCA rescued seven abandoned horses and one donkey from a property in Cedar on March 2. The animals were emaciated and suffering from a wide range of medical problems.

Crown counsel has charged Peter Joseph Seymour with four counts of animal cruelty following an SPCA investigation involving three badly-neglected dogs.


94 Cats and Kittens Rescued from Nanaimo Animal Hoarder

The BC SPCA is caring for 94 cats and kittens seized Aug. 10th from a residence in the Cedar area of Nanaimo. The sick and neglected cats were deemed to be abandoned under the PCA Act after their owner was evicted from the home.
