Adopted!

When this little guy came in to the shelter as a stray, he was quite the sight for sore eyes! He was filthy, infested with fleas and in desperate need of a grooming.
We have treated him, gotten him a new haircut and a bath, so he is now ready to find his new home. He also received a dental cleaning and was neutered.

Sven has been at the North Cariboo Branch for 14 days, which is a long time for a little dog. He is quite people oriented, and would be ideal for someone retired or who doesn't work and has lots of time to spend with him.

Unfortunately he does need some work on his house training. His is excellent on a leash and walks right beside you, so evening strolls with him will be enjoyable for both him and his new owner.

A home with children will be alright as long as they understand boundaries, we wouldn't want this little one to get unintentionally hurt. If you have another dog in the home this guy would love to meet him prior to being adopted just to make sure the resident dog will accept him, although he hasn't had any dog issues while here at the shelter.

If Sven sounds like the companion for you, please contact the BC SPCA North Cariboo District Branch at (250) 562-5511 or northcariboo@spca.bc.ca. To view more adoptable animals, please visit the BC SPCA Pet Search site.
