Bonnie was just two years old when she was surrendered to BC SPCA on April 10, 2010. Her former owner had too many animals and couldn't give this energetic Fox Terrier the attention and love she deserved.
To increase her chances for adoption, Bonnie took a ride on the Drive for Lives and arrived at the BC SPCA Port Coquitlam Education & Adoption Centre. And, it worked!
Only a few weeks later, she adopted to a new loving home in Langley. Her new family now calls her Sheldy, and they wrote to provide an update on her progress.
I rescued Shelby after putting my Jack Russell Terrier of 12.5 years down. I was so sad and unsure about getting another dog but when I saw her eyes I instantly fell in love with her.
She is an amazing dog, so full of love, energy and always smiling. She is a constant form of entertainment doing goofy things all the time.
She loves to lay in the sun, hang out at the lake and play fetch. Thank you BC SPCA for matching me with such a wonderful companion. My life feels complete again!
Congratulations to Shelby and her loving new family.
