A birthday girl speaks for animals

 February 3, 2010

The Powell River SPCA recently accepted a donation of $84.10 from Abigail Welp-Ellis.  Abigail raised the money at her 4th birthday party by asking her friends to bring donations instead of gifts.

The Powell River SPCA would like to send a huge thank you out to Abigail! Her gift will help the shelter to help homeless animals in her community.

To help animals in your community, donate to the Powell River SPCA today.

Accepting the donation is Roselyn Boarman of the Powell River SPCA.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization funded primarily by public donations. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and to promote the welfare of animals through a wide range of services, including cruelty investigations, emergency rescue and treatment, sheltering and adoption of homeless and abused animals, humane education, advocacy, farm animal welfare, spay/neuter programs, and wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
