Betty

ID: 337976

Adopted!

Betty, a gentle, sweet soul, was brought to the BC SPCA Haida Gwaii Branch in May 2014, after being captured from a feral colony in Skidegate when she was about 10 months old.

Although used to having someone feeding the feral colony, Betty was not socialized to people as a young kitten, having missed the window of opportunity, between three to seven weeks-of-age.

It is much more difficult and sometimes impossible to socialize adult cats, however Betty has blossomed into an affectionate trusting kitty. She thoroughly enjoys petting sessions, is relaxed when picked up and still loves to play. She likes kids and she's great with all the other cats. She's truly a sweetheart.

Betty has never shown aggression; she loves to play "chase the string" and gently play with kittens. Betty will need to be kept inside with stimulating play and interaction. Given time, she will become a loving, devoted companion.

If Betty sounds like the cuddle companion for you, please contact the BC SPCA Haida Gwaii Branch at (250) 559-9030 or swindatt@spca.bc.ca .
