Closed on Wednesdays

Please note that the BC SPCA Richmond Education & Adoption Centre will now be closed to the public on Wednesdays beginning January 11, 2012.

The Richmond branch is run by only two staff members and is volunteer and donation dependent. As such, this weekly closure will assist in finishing many administrative duties, humane education planning, attaining our fundraising goals, and many other tasks.

We are still open to the public on all other days and encourage anyone wishing to come by to please view our hours online. All animals in our care will still be well looked after as all our Wednesday volunteers will still be coming in for animal care, cleaning, and socialization time.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization funded primarily by public donations. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and to promote the welfare of animals through a wide range of services, including cruelty investigations, emergency rescue and treatment, sheltering and adoption of homeless and abused animals, humane education, advocacy, farm animal welfare, spay/neuter programs, and wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
