Fun winter workshop for kids
Youth Workshop: "A Home for the Holidays"
December 21-22, 2011 BC SPCA Richmond Education & Adoption Centre
Are you between the ages of 8 and 12 and looking for a fun way to learn about animals and meet
other animal lovers this holiday season? Look no further! Come join us at the
BC SPCA Richmond Education & Adoption Centre for one or two days this December 21-22 and
become the expert in your family on how to keep animals safe and cozy during
this chilly time of year. Discover how to keep your own pets healthy and happy
this winter and help our shelter animals find their happy home for the
holidays! Celebrate this festive season with us by helping animals while
playing fun animal-themed games, making crafts, touring the branch and making
some special new friends both furry and human!
At this workshop you will be able to:
- Learn how to keep pets and wildlife safe from holiday
hazards this frosty time of year;
- Get in touch with your artistic side and help our
animals find their forever loving homes by creating adoption posters and
decorations for the shelter;
- Bring comfort to the lives of animals living in our
shelters by making them treats and toys to brighten up their holiday season
(spread the joy and bring some to your furry friends at home too!);
- Get ready for the New Year by creating a New Year’s
Resolution bookmark or Animal Calendar; and
- Learn about all kinds of animals big and small, short
and tall, and meet other kids who love animals as much as you do!
