Midnight & Pebble

Adopted: November 19, 2016

Midnight and Pebble are bonded bunny brothers that were rescued in March, 2016 when they were discovered as strays. They were only one month old when they arrived to the BC SPCA Richmond Education & Adoption Centre.

Soon after arriving, Midnight and Pebble began to show their personalities. Midnight is more on the shy side than his brother Pebble. Pebble is the ambassador of the pair; he is super sweet and not afraid to approach humans to ask for affection.

We knew these two would do best in a home where they could stay together. Unfortunately, Midnight and Pebble had a long wait at the branch while we worked to find the perfect home for them where they could stay together.

In November, 2016, Midnight and Pebble got lucky when they were discovered and adopted by their new guardians. Midnight and Pebble now have had a couple of weeks to get settled and their new guardians have sent this update to let us know how everyone is getting on:

I would like to share our story about how we got our two special boys. My fiancé and I just got home from a trip to Cancun a month ago and found out that our previous rabbit had passed away while we were away.

I wanted to wait until spring time to get another rabbit but my fiancé wanted to get one sooner. I automatically started looking at the BC SPCA website for rabbits, especially two that are bonded already. That's when I spotted the two brothers Pebble and Midnight. We liked their names so we have kept them.

We went into the BC SPCA Richmond Education & Adoption Centre on November 12, 2016 to meet the boys and then we took them home with us exactly a week later.

They are the sweetest boys ever, but they are a little destructive of their toys. They both have their own personality: Pebble is curious, the braver of the two, and will protect Midnight. Midnight is the shy one who likes to keep to himself.

I'm so glad that we were able to get these boys and give them their first real home since they have been in the shelter nearly their whole lives.

We are so happy that Midnight and Pebble have found a great new forever home with experienced rabbit guardians. Thank you so much for making adoption your first choice and giving Midnight and Pebble a second chance at a great life.
