Garry is a handsome and extremely outgoing cat with so much to offer the right home. He’s looking for a person or family that can keep up with him as he’s quite active and loves playing.

Garry made his way to the BC SPCA East Kootenay Branch in March when his owners moved and left him behind. He has since been microchipped with identification so if he ever finds his way out he will make it back home again.

After not having much interest in him in Cranbrook, Garry made his way to the BC SPCA Richmond Education & Adoption Centre Branch via the Drive for Lives program. He settled in a little too well right off the bat as he just wanted to play with everyone! As he was a little too playful for the other cats in the communal room, he has since made himself comfortable in his very own room where he gets lots of attention from volunteers and visitors.

Garry is currently being harness trained and is taking quite well to it. Given his penchant for sneaking out doors, we feel that walking him will take away his need to sneak outside.

Toys, toys, and more toys would be beneficial to Garry as he is so playful and will otherwise get bored. Another fun-loving cat friend or a cat savvy dog would also be great ideas on how to make Garry’s life spectacular.

Gary's age may be five, but trust us he’s just an oversized kitten at heart! If Garry sounds like the purr-fect companion for you, please contact the BC SPCA Richmond Education & Adoption Centre at (604) 277-3100 or
