Conrad has had such a long journey.
He was brought to the Salt Spring Island branch of the BC SPCA with his arm tangled in his collar and suffering from a horrible wound. He was emaciated, exhausted and his owners could not be found.
With a lot of care, Conrad slowly regained his strength but he remained a little timid around strangers. Despite his fear, he was very affectionate with staff, volunteers, and even the vets.
As an older cat, we feared that it would be hard to find a home for this shy, sweet guy. But, then we were contacted by a lovely couple who had seen Conrad featured as a Pet on the Net on our website. When they were told about his hard life, they knew they wanted to meet him. And when they did meet him, they knew they wanted him to be part of their family.
We are thrilled to announce that Conrad is doing great in his new home. He has settled in surprisingly quickly and is very affectionate with his new family. We are so happy that Conrad found the loving forever home he deserves.
Congratulations, Conrad!
