Marley is very loving and affectionate, but also a little sad and frightened.
Staff and volunteers try to let her out of her cage for some exploring and exercise, but it’s just too scary for her.
Marley is most happy when people spend time gently petting her and scratching her head. Then, she kneads her little blankie, looks up adoringly, and purrs contentedly.
Like many older cats who have spent their lives in a home and suddenly find themselves in a shelter with new sounds, smells, strange people and more cats — Marley is frightened.
We do our best to comfort Marley and cats like her but what they need is a loving home. Marley needs someone who can see her for the sweet, loving, mild-mannered kitty that she is and give her the forever home she needs and deserves.
