Ziggy originally came into the care of the BC SPCA Shuswap Branch when he was picked up as a stray in January 2012. Staff and volunteers were able to quickly reunite Ziggy with his family thank to his identification.
A couple months later a familiar looking dog was brought to the shelter, his owners couldn’t keep him any longer as he was too much of an escape artist. They had no fence and this pup would always leave the yard, this dog turned out to be Ziggy.
Ziggy would need a home with a fenced yard, someone who was ready to look after his long (and sometimes unruly) mane, and a family that won’t leave him alone for long periods of time. Ziggy was a lucky dog though, he found his home less than two weeks later. Ziggy took a moment out of his busy day to let us know how he’s doing.
Hi to all my friends in Salmon Arm,
I have a spare minute and wanted to let you know how very happy I am in my new home; it seems like it was meant to be. Amber attached a picture of Hope (the big yellow lab) playing tug a war; she can pull me around but I outwit her and am far more determined.
We have a big yard with a fence all the way around. Hope and I play outside lots. When the big, youngster is not going full force I have been able to play with Ruffus, I like the old guy.
My new people love me very much and it has been super easy to settle in.
Miss you all, Ziggy
Ziggy’s new life sure sounds great; he really seems to be having a blast. We’re glad he could take a moment to sit back, relax, and write a quick letter to us. Thank you to his new family for making adoption their first option and opening their home to this rambunctious little cutie.
