Diego & Smores

ID: 241015 & 241016

Adopted!

My name is Diego, and this is my sister Smores. We were first brought to the BC SPCA Kamloops Branch after our previous guardians developed allergies to us. When no one showed any interest in adopting us, we were transferred to the BC SPCA Shuswap Branch, where we now reside, waiting for a fur-ever home together.

We can be quite social and enjoy visiting people, especially if it means we get treats and veggies out of it (that being said, you may need to bribe us a little to start with). We are very independent, and enjoy spending time together relaxing in the sun, or nibbling on an apple branch.

We do enjoy getting pet – myself a little more than my sister – and are perfectly prepared to move away when we wish to get some alone time. We are easily handleable – or at least I consider us so, compared to some of the other bunnies we’ve seen in the shelter, and the staff love us.

We are quiet, and sometimes the staff have to peek it at us to make sure we’re still there. We have been exposed to dogs, and cats around the shelter, and I feel that as long as we had someplace to hide, and the other pet was friendly towards us, we would be fine.

Periodically we hear about the ‘black cat syndrome’, and for whatever reason, there must be a ‘white rabbit syndrome’ as well, as we have been looked over multiple times in favor of the smaller dwarfs or coloured rabbits. We are not sure why, but we have everything that they have to offer as well – if only someone would give us a chance!

We are a bonded pair, and would love the opportunity to go home together – I don’t want to be left behind, and neither does Smores… so we will definitely be happiest together, especially after we have spent so much time together.
