Catbury, a gorgeous Main Coon feline, was approximately one year old when he was found frightened, hungry and homeless beneath a car in the parking lot of an animal clinic in Penticton.
He was brought to the BC SPCA South Okanagan/Similkameen Branch on April 13, 2010 and received some much-needed food, shelter and love.
After gaining his strength back, Catbury began to show his true and wonderful personality. A wonderful family from Kelowna saw Catbury online and arrived on June 12, 2010 to adopt this sweetheart of a cat. They wrote to share an update on Catbury and his life after the BC SPCA.
Having Catbury in our lives has been such an amazing
experience. I couldn't imagine my life without him.
One day, I was looking
online and came across his picture and I knew he was going to be a part of my
family.
When I finally got to the shelter, I can say it was love at
first sight. That furry little face and the nuzzles... he and I had an instant
connection. We made the drive back to Kelowna and introduced Catbury to his new
sister Smokey.
Catbury has the most amazing and funny personality I have ever
seen in a cat. He is very smart, and loves to play with his squirrel and
frog toys.
He has a mini-water cooler that makes noise whenever it fills
up, and he keeps an eye on it at all times. Catbury is my comic relief when I
need to laugh.
Smokey and Catbury get along, but they still respect each
others boundaries. Although I'm shocked that no one adopted him sooner, I am
also glad because I wouldn’t have him in my life today.

Congratulations to Catbury, Smokey and their whole family. We wish them a long and happy life together.
