Darryl was found homeless near Park Place in Penticton on January 26, 2011. He was brought to the BC SPCA South Okanagan/Similkameen Branch and quickly became a staff favourite.
It was no surprise that his forever family found him so quickly. Darryl was adopted on April 29, 2011 into a Penticton home. His new guardians wrote to share an update on Darryl and life after the BC SPCA.
Darryl is a beautiful, highly intelligent new family member who immediately bumped noses with my ten year old shi tzu, Maggs.
Darryl has gained weight, lost his kennel sniffles, keeps us entertained and plays fetch with his favourite toy, a neon orange shoelace.

He loves to tussle with Maggs and never uses his claws. We love him and are very thankful to the BC SPCA and all the folks bringing heartfelt aid to our animal friends.
I am also appreciating that Darryl now waits until at least six am to plop his orange showlace beside me on the bed, rather than three or four am.
Thank you again!
Congratulations to Darryl and his new furever family!
