Boots originally found herself in care at the BC SPCA Kamloops Branch due to there being "too many dogs" in the home; she was then transferred to the BC SPCA Sunshine Coast Branch to help her find a new home. Boots arrived a bit shy and fearful of sudden noises and fast movements, but quickly made friends with everyone who met her. A quick learner and smart Boots thrives on learning, enjoys belly rubs and having lived with other dogs and cat in her previous home was easy going with both. It didn’t take long for this sweetie to find herself a new home.

Hi there, Christy and I just wanted to send a quick update on how Boots is doing. Since coming home with us on May 13, Boots has been a total sweet heart and has quickly become a part of the family. She is a gentle, affectionate girl and we couldn't be happier to have adopted her. She is enjoying going for runs, visiting the dog park to play with other dogs, going to the beach, and just hanging around with her new family. She can still be a bit shy in some social situations, but on the whole she has been very good around new people and dogs and does well in new situations and places.
She loves going for car rides (hops right in without any help) and her absolute favorite activity is stretching out on her back and getting a good belly rub. Anyways, we just wanted to extend a big thank you for matching us with Boots. After only a few weeks we couldn't imagine not having her in our lives and we are so happy to be able to give her a home.
Thanks for all of the hard work that you guys do and take care.
Paul, Christy, & Boots
P.S. Attached are some photos of Boots hanging out at home and at the beach
