Button originally found herself in care at the BCSPCA Kamloops Branch with three of her siblings when their owners could no longer care for them.
After waiting a while in Kamloops for a new home, Button and her brother Flopsy were transferred to the BCSPCA Sunshine Coast Branch via the Drive for Lives program where they both found new homes (separately).

Button, now named Abbey, is settling in well and her new home has sent an update on how she is doing:
Just to let you know that where I am, Abbey is. My computer desk is her favourite hangout - she moved in and said the bed is mine. She gets along well with our old cat Charlie.
Abbey is very inquisitive and showed the signs of a neglected cat from her behavior with regard to water but has the personality of a lover; she loves a tummy rub, gives me kisses.
Thank you and I hope that you found her brother a good home. Sincerely, Sue
Thanks for catching up with us Sue. We are pleased to hear that Abbey has settled in well. It is a relief to know that both she and her brother finally found their forever homes on the Sunshine Coast.
