On May 4, 2012, Scottie found himself in the care of the BC SPCA Burnaby Branch, where he had been brought in as a stray, with a bleeding mouth.
To help Scottie find a home he was transferred via the Drive for Lives program to the BC SPCA Sunshine Coast Branch where he settled in to wait for his new home.
An affectionate cat who enjoys being brushed, belly rubs and playing with his toys Scottie still had to wait a few months before heading off to his new home. His new family have sent an update and some pictures on how Scottie (now spelled Scotty) is doing.

Scotty has enjoyed a wonderful few weeks in our home since we adopted him August 4. He’s settled right in and is much loved and in great health... Miles
Miles also mentioned in a separate message that he could not believe that no one had adopted Scotty as he is so energetic, loving and well-behaved. That Scotty is fine around dogs and that not having had a family cat for 15 months thought they were happy until they adopted Scotty and now realized how much they had been missing giving and receiving love from a pet.
