Zoe originally found herself in care at the BC SPCA Kamloops Branch due to there being “too many dogs“ in the home; she was then transferred to the BC SPCA Sunshine Coast Branch to help her find a new home.

A sweetie with a calm and peaceful disposition Zoe quickly won everyone over the the Sunshine Coast Branch, employees and volunteers a like. Affectionate and a tad shy and submissive, Zoe enjoyed laying with her head on a knee receiving a gentle belly rub and body massage while at the shelter - further enduring her to everyone she met. Sometimes it can it can take a while before an 8-year old dog finds a new home as many people consider a dog 8-years-old, too old. But fortunately Zoe was not one of those dogs as it did not take long before she found herself in a new home - who were looking for a companion for their 8-year old male dog who was adopted from the Sunshine Coast Branch in 2004! Zoe's family has recently sent a wonderful update on how she is doing

Hi Serafina and Sunshine Coast SPCAers,
It's been two weeks since we took Zoe home and she has settled in beautifully. She still thinks her bed is the best place, though she did switch with Earnest for part of the night last night! Zoe loves her daily walk and spends the whole time nose to the ground taking in the scenery. She goes off-leash now and is very good about coming when called-- we practice a lot and don't let her get far. She seems very comfortable and she and Earnest interact amiably. Zoe was very quick to learn the patterns of the household and she she even tried to join Earnest in a chorus with an ambulance siren, though her musical voice needs some work!
Thanks again for letting her join our household--she's great! I'll send a few more pictures.
Jackie
