On May 1, 2012, Meah, a pregnant, young, stray cat, found herself in care at the BCSPCA Sunshine Coast Branch. She was placed into foster care while she gave birth to her four babies and raised them. Now spayed, Meah is looking for her forever home.
A confident and feisty gal, Meah settles easily into any situation she finds herself in. She would probably suit most homes, though she might be a bit too much for toddlers as she may take a whack at them if they decide to pack her around.
A dog in the home would more than likely be okay as Meah will stand her ground - she also appears to like dogs.
Meah can be fussy about other cats though, a bit of a diva she may be fine with a young non-confrontational feline friend; one that doesn't mind that Meah is the self appointed queen of the home.
Playful and affectionate, Meah likes to climb onto your shoulder and ride around. She would do well in a home with a sense of humour as she can be mischievous. On the flip side, she is very smart and has responded to clicker training well, as she is highly food motivated.
A social cat, Meah behaves more like a dog and will follow you around, being nosy and checking out what you are up to. Being left alone long hours during the day would not suit this gal.
If you are looking for an outgoing, confident and loving cat to join your home, please contact the BC SPCA Sunshine Coast Branch at (604) 740-0301 or email@example.com to meet Meah. To view more adoptable animals, please visit the BC SPCA Pet Search site.
