Carlos finds himself here after his former guardian did not have the time to care for him. Carlos is a friendly and inquisitive little fellow who is probably a bit lonely as Chinchillas do like to have a buddy.
A lovely little guy, Carlos is a cutie all right. He is friendly, playful and curious and with his bat ears and soft soft fur is the perfect small companion ... especially for anyone that has allergies to cat dander, Chinchilla's have no dander so are perfect for those that would love a companion but cannot be up close and cuddly with cats.
Chinchillas are wonderful companions but they do have some very strict dietary requirements that have to be followed in order for them to do well and not become ill. And though small, their life span is 10-15 years. They can also jump five times their own height! Please do your research on these wonderful animals if you are not familiar with Chinchillas. They also require a tall cage with multiple levels for them to keep active at night, as they are nocturnal creatures though Carlos seems to have a different schedule and is active during the day.
