Rosie was surrendered to the BC SPCA Surrey Branch with her sister, Bella. The two sisters were the last of their litter and the owner signed them over to the BC SPCA, to find them both loving homes through our adoption procedure.
Rosie came in quite fearful and under socialized. The shelter was a scary place for her and Bella, but with the help of the staff and volunteers at the shelter, the two began to blossom within days.
We didn't know Rosie for long, as she was adopted from the shelter in less than a week! Rosie is now called Roxy and here is what her new caregiver has to say about her:
As promised here is an update on "Roxy". Now just over 5 months old, she is doing very well, she has got over most of her skittishness
and is very outgoing in most situations.
She is currently 75 pounds,
stands 26" at the shoulder and is by far the laziest dog I have ever
known. It takes me about an hour each morning to get her out of bed.

Don't fret about her being out in my winter wonderland here, she has both
a sweater and booties she loves to wear when its cold!
Thanks again for your help in bringing her into my life, she is
amazing. Enjoy the pictures I'll be sure to provide more updates as we
go along.
The BC SPCA Surrey Branch would like to thank YOU for making adoption your first option and for taking the time to share the charming update of Roxy's transition into her new fur-ever home. We wish you both many happy years to come.
