Bob and Jeff are guinea pig brothers surrendered to the BC SPCA Surrey Education & Adoption Centre because their previous guardian had too many animals.
When they arrived to the branch they still needed lots of socializing as they were nervous when picked up. Bob and Jeff love having space to run around in and eat a lot of fresh fruit and veggies.
These two brothers do everything together, so we knew it was important that they find a home allowing them to stay together forever. After staying with us several months at the branch, Bob and Jeff found the perfect guardian and were brought to their new forever home.
Bob and Jeff are now called Bucky and Beaver and are settling well in their new environment. Their guardian has sent us this update to share:
The guinea pigs are doing great in their new home with their new family!
I renamed them Bucky (the dominant male) and Beaver (the shy timid male). They are healthy, fit, and happy! Bucky staked his claim to the Play Barn.
Me, my cat Lyndie, and the 2 guinea pigs have established a daily routine that works very well for all of us.
My days start at 11 am and end at 2 am so they have a meal at noon, snack at 4 pm, dinner at 8 pm, snack at midnight, and fresh hay two times daily.
They get only organic veggies, treats, and timothy hay. No fats, sugars, or chemicals. The water they get is Canadian Springs demineralized water which is free of fluoride, chlorine, and other unnecessary additives.
We’re happy to hear that Bucky and Beaver are doing so well and making themselves at home, especially in the play barn. Thank you so much for making adoption your first choice and giving Bucky and Beaver a loving forever home where they can stay together and make new friends.
