Steps to become a BC SPCA volunteer

  1. Complete an application

  2. Attend an Information Session

  3. Attend an Interview

  4. Complete a Criminal Record Check 

  5. Attend a Workshop (or DVD training session)

  6. Attend a buddy training session

 

Apply to become a BC SPCA Surrey Branch volunteer

You can join us in advocating for animals in your community and improving the welfare of the animals in our shelters.

 

Apply to become a BC SPCA Surrey Foster volunteer

 

Requirements

  • To volunteer with the animals you must be able to volunteer a minimum two hour shift per week for at least six months.  If you are unable to meet that time commitment please consider volunteering in another capacity other than with the animals, for example events or administration.

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer with the animals. 

  • Attend all training sessions.
