Champ was part of a litter of 13 puppies that were surrendered by their owner to the BC SPCA Trail Regional Branch in March 2011. They were all about four months old, needed to be spayed and neutered, and were just full of puppy energy.
After a couple days in the care of the Trail Branch, Champ had been neutered, health checked, and tattooed so that he would be ready to find his forever home.
Days later, Champ had someone drive from Vancouver to come adopt him and she’s sent us a great photo and update on him.
Hello,
I' m Just writing to give you a update on Buddy (Champ). He is 9 months old now and is weighing in at 95 pounds. He is very healthy and very much loved. He has made best friends with my older dog Chance and they are just the best together.
He gets beat up by our lil cat who weights 9 pounds but our other two cats love to cuddle him and give him kisses it's very cute. Buddy is learning fast and is becoming a great part of my work life as well. I work in an old folks home and he comes with me some days and the residents just love his easy going manner and his cuddles.
He is an awesome dog and I'm glad that I made my way out to Trail to come get him. I could not ask for a better dog thanks for everything hope all is well.
Heather and Buddy
We’re so happy that Buddy is getting along with his new family, even if he does get hazed every now and then from a small cat. Thank you to Heather for making adoption your first option and for making the drive from Vancouver for this wonderful boy.
