Tommy was brought into the BC SPCA Trail Regional Branch in February 2012 when his owner couldn’t afford to care for him any longer. Only a couple weeks old when surrendered, Tommy went into foster care so that he could learn how great a loving home environment could be.
Cuddles came into the Trail branch through difficult circumstances as well; her owner wasn’t taking proper care of her and was leaving her to suffer in silence. Thankfully Cuddles was able to come to the shelter and receive the medical attention she desperately needed.
Tommy and Cuddles soon met in the cat communal room and seemed to hit it off right away. Although when Cuddles had initially come in she was quite nervous around people and was unsure if we were a threat to her or not. Tommy really helped Cuddles come out of her shell and with time she began to trust again.
It barely took a week before Tommy and Cuddles were off to their new loving forever where they are now living out life with their great family who has taken the time to send us an update.
Hello All:
Here is a picture of Cuddles and Tommy on their temporary cat condo. We re-recycled this (it was scheduled to be taken apart and brought to the dump).
They sleep on the chair seat, scratch at the chair back and when real quiet time is required, climb into the blanket stuffed laundry basket stashed under the chair. Tommy has been very good for Cuddles. They are bonding well.
Thanks for caring for them till they found us.
Kevin and Nell
Animals both young and old require proper care and that can sometimes cost quite a bit of money. It’s always best to plan ahead before adopting and make sure you will be ready for almost anything. We’re so happy Kevin and Nell are enjoying the benefits Cuddles and Tommy bring to their lives. Thank you to both of them for making adoption their first (and second) option.
