Hank and Mouse were two black cats in the care of the BC SPCA Trail Regional Branch. Hank had been surrendered by his owner due to allergies on January 11, 2012 and Mouse was given up on February 28, 2012 when his owner could no longer afford to care for him.
They both enjoyed each other's company and the shelter was hoping that they would find a home together. As fate would have it, a family came in and fell in love with these two sweet boys and decided to adopt the pair.
We recently received a note from their new mom about how well they are getting along in their new home:
We are having so much fun with Hank (photo at the top of the story) and Mouse (photo to your right). They settled in really quickly. They are so gentle, affectionate and sociable. Mouse is full of beans, very curious and so playful. Hank is just a honey.
They have both been busy exploring the house and have found the prime spots to snuggle down. Within an hour of their arrival there were three kids and two cats on one sofa snuggled in front of a movie! Thank you so much for introducing us.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful story with us. It just goes to show that some cats get along well with other kitties. So the next time you are considering adopting, why not consider getting a playmate for your new furry friend?
