Lacy was surrendered by her owner to the BC SPCA Trail Regional Branch when there were too many dogs in the home to be properly cared for. She was a very pretty dog and was sure to find a home quite quickly.
In less than a month Lacy was on her way to her forever home with a great family that was excited to be a part of her life. They have written us to give us an update on how Lacy has been doing since adoption.
Dear Friends at the Trail SPCA
Thank you so much for our lovely Lacy that has been with us for four weeks. She is everything we hoped for and what a bonus...she hardly sheds! She has totally adjusted to us and her new home. She loves to go for our walks everyday and was off leash within 5 days. We do live in a very quiet area with few neighbours, and she still has some nervousness meeting people, but she is fine with other dogs.
She went to see our vet two days after arrival and got her rabies shot and one other vaccine. He examined her completely and said she was very healthy & easy to handle. I took her into the groomer's today and she now has a short coat - ready for her trip to California and three months in the desert. She is a great traveller - loves her crate which she sleeps in every night, but also loves to get out around 5:30 to jump up on the bed for a morning snuggle.
Thanks again for the dog that put the "DOG" back in our "Dog in the Lane" house - here are some photos of her.
Doris
It sure sounds like Lacy has made herself at home and is exactly where she wants to be. Thank you to Doris and family for making adoption your first option, Lacy is lucky to be surrounded with great people like yourselves.
