Ruthie and her sister Cocoa were surrendered to the BC SPCA Trail Regional Branch in April 2012, when their family was moving and unable to take either of them to the new home. Ruthie was such a sweet Yorkshire terrier; she won her way into everyone’s hearts quite quickly.
Ruthie bonded extremely quickly with all women, but sometimes took a bit longer with men. Although she got along famously with both dogs and cats Ruthie had to wait a bit longer for her home than her sister Cocoa.
Less than a month after being surrendered Ruthie found a family that was delighted to bring her home with them. Her new mum has sent us a lovely update on how Ruthie is adjusting to her new life at home.
Just thought I would give you an update on Ruthie that I adopted last week. She is doing wonderfully! She fell in love with my husband almost immediately and my son also.
The other dogs have been very accepting and there have been no fights as of yet. I am so happy to have Ruthie in our family!
Thank you for everything! Cat
We love that Ruthie is bonding so well with everyone; human and animal. Thank you to Cat and family for choosing to make Ruthie and adoption as your first option.
