Scooter was a handsome young kitten who was barely a couple months old when he was surrendered into the care of the BC SPCA Trail Regional Branch in early February. Scooter was a bit of a handful and like any kitten, he was full of energy and ready to take on the world.
Scooter was neutered only a few days after coming into the Trail branch’s care; he also received a tattoo while he was there so he could always be identified. Most young kittens don’t understand the concept of taking a couple days off from playing to heal up after surgery and Scooter was no exception!
Shortly after coming to the shelter, Scooter had found the family he was looking for and he sure let them know it. His new family wrote in to share their adoption story:
Scooter came to us when my son really wanted a kitten, and out of the three kittens at the SPCA, Scooter was the most vocal. He had chosen his owner and wouldn’t let up until we took him home. Scooter loves to get into mischief, like climbing onto the table or sleeping on the keyboard.
On the same day we got Scooter, we got my daughter a six week old rabbit. Simba (the rabbit) and Scooter (we kept his rescue name) soon became great friends. We LOVE Scooter and we often find ourselves with a sleeping kitten in our laps. He has found his forever home. Scooter is not going anywhere. I highly recommend getting your next pet from the SPCA. You never know, your next forever companion could be waiting for you.
Not only did this wonderful family welcome a kitten into their home, but they were nice enough to bring a rabbit too. We’re happy to hear Scooter is still living the life he enjoys – a very fast-paced one.
