Ceasar (now known lovingly as Duke in his new home) had his family send us an update to let the staff and volunteers know just how lucky he is!
Hello! We adopted Ceasar (AKA Duke) in July 2012 and wanted to update you on how well he is adjusting. He’s fit right into the family. Stanley has definitely warmed up to him, though it did take him a couple weeks to get used to the idea of having a big, uncoordinated brother in the house but he did settle in. Even the cats are getting used to him very quickly.
We love him so much, he is so spoiled. He has too many toys, he plays with every single one of them and leaves them around the house just like a child. He loves to sleep on the couch, and actually sometimes sneaks onto the bed to sleep with you at night like a cat. He loves to jump on the trampoline (he’s such a goof), and torpedo around the yard like he’s on a race track.
Ever since we got Duke we have had more family outings together, we would go up to the dog park at Buntzen Lake for a swim (which he loves!) and play with the other dogs. We have had no problems with other dogs, Duke is so friendly and submissive he would not dare get into a fight, all he wants to do is play and meet every single dog in the dog park.
We are so happy with our new addition to our family, he is definitely a keeper!
What a lucky boy he is. Duke sure knew how to pick his forever family.
